Internal matters you need to arrange in advance
Dimensions
This might sound like a no-brainer, but first make sure the machine can actually be placed in your hall. Also keep in mind the movements of the machine in all of its positions. Some people forget that a machine in its highest position no long offers space for an overhead crane. And check whether there is enough space to place a chip tipping container.
Power
Take a close look at the power supply in your hall. Sometimes, adding an extra or heavier machine to your machine park means the power supply has to be increased. Be sure to check this in time, because delivery times for new transformers are often very long.
Foundation
Check whether your machine can be placed on the floor as it is, or if an extra foundation needs to be laid. The latter can be the case especially with heavier machines.

Disassembly
If you buy your machine from a professional machine dealer, it will often be disassembled free of charge. In other cases, you may have to arrange the disassembling yourself or incur additional costs. So keep this in mind while creating your budget. The machine dealer can put you in touch with a company that is specialized in disassembling machines.
Transport
The transport of machines is a highly specialized skill. That’s why you should look for a transport company that’s specialized in, or has experience with, machine transport. When placing the order, make sure to note that the machine may not be overloaded, in order to avoid the risk of damage. And don’t forget to take out good transport insurance.

Unloading
How should your machine be unloaded when it arrives at your location? Is there a crane to unload to machine? And should the machine be unloaded with lifting eyes (eye bolts), lifting hooks or lifting beams? If you’re doing business with a good dealer, this will all be discussed in advance. And they will make photos when loading the machine, so you can see how the machine hangs in the crane.
Assembly
Larger machines must be assembled by an assembly company. Have you partnered with a company that took care of the disassembly? Then it’s useful to make use of this same company for the assembly. Smaller machines don’t need to be assembled, as they often consist of one unit.
