PBR T 600, 700, 800 CNC Lathe

PBR T 600- 700-800 CNC CNC LATHE
The T 600-700-800 CNC is a lathe with continuous path control facilities, which has been designed and built in accordance with the very latest electromechanical technology in order to ensure maximum reliability and consistently high standards of accuracy in machining. The machine is very flexíble and can make full use of the capabilities offered by the various numerical control systems, thanks to the great dynamic stiffness of the system and the exceptionai power ratíngs of the spindle and axis drives. Setup times are minimum for chucked work, for barwork or for shaft or between centres work.
The machine ís ideal for small and medium batch production of threaded workpieces, for workpieces of taper or spherical shape, for workpieces with highiy intricate profiles, where hoidíng of close toierances, surfaces finishes down to 0.6 Ra, consistent output, plus good dimensional repeatability are required.

HEADSTOCK DR1VE. The main spíndle drive is through a
d.c. motor with ample constant power speed range. Control
system is through a fu11 wave síx phase static bridge rectífier for four quadrant operation. Drive is transmitted from
the d.c. motor to the headstock spindle by means of highly
efficient driving belts and pulleys.
The headstock, of very rugged Meehaníte cast iron construction, ís especíally desígned so as to dírect any loss of heat vertícally with respect to the resting plane of the tools.
Thanks to this solution, there ís no danger of impairing machining accuracy.
The headstock ís dírectly fastened to the bed and ís easily
aligned with respect to tailstock centre line.
Four spindle speed ranges are available which are automatícally programmed through the "M" functions duríng the work cycle. After the speed range change, the motion is
transmítted through helícal gearing to the rugged spindle.
Thís spíndle ís very rigid (340 kg/μ) and ís mounted on high precísion bearíngs.
The gears are mounted on splíned shafts. All rotatíng members are hardened and generously dimensíoned to enable transmíssion of hígh torque and power with mínimum wear, as can be seen from the two logarithmíc graphs of the four speed ranges with standard 37 kW motor. The speed signals are transmitted from the rear section of the spindle to the rotary transducer shaft, and these sígnals are used for
synchronization duríng thread cutting with the longitudinal feed screw of the Z axis. Headstock lubrication cuit type through the variable pressure and variable delivery lubrication pump mounted on the bed.

BED with double walls is designed to ensure utmost accuracy and rigidity.
The castíng is of Meehanite cast iron, submitted to a special stabílization process. All bed
slídeways are profíle ground and hardened to about 450 Brínell. The bed ís provided with a
natural gap. Wide swarf collecting cavities are located in the bed.
APRON contains the mechanism and the d.c. dríve for controllíng the feed of the saddle. The power is transmítted from the d.c. motor to a worm whích dríves a helicoidal gear to two helicoidal pinions to a ground helícoidal rack.
The two helícoidal pínions are hydraulically preloaded at a fixed pressure to avoid all backlash.
SADDLE AND CROSS SLIDE are of a very rigid construction and well proportioned to
wíthstand the powerful cutting forces. The cross slide and compound ways are hardened
and all correspondíng slídes are bonded wíth antífríction bearing material. All ways are automatically lubricated by an electrically lubrícation pump. The feed of the X axis is controlled by a d.c. motor to a couple of cog wheels which drive the ball screw with a double preloaded nut.

THE TAILSTOCK, when the clamps are released, runs on the bed dragged by the saddle. The quill is of high tensile steel, case hardened, precísíon ground and fitted into a
honed finished bore. The movement can be manual or hy draulic, CNC controlled by "M" functions as an option.
The clamping of the tailstock and the quill is manual.

THE TRAVELLING AND STATIONARY STEADIES, of robust design, can be either manual or automatic type. Manual steady with sliding spindles ís provided with roller bearings.
The travellíng steady rest capacity is from 50=400 1 mm. and the statíonary steady rest capacity is from 150 = 5~ mm. The self-centering steadies are hydraulically drive
through an adjustable pressure and direct CNC controlled.
The hydraulic steady rest is equipped with a safety pressure
switch countering hydraulic failure. On demand, it is available a special steady with 4 spindles, capacity from
450 = 800 mm. (see photo near by).

THE HYDRAULIC UNIT ís índependently mounted containíng a motor drivíng a variable pump. A control panel fixed at the tank, accommodates all necessary valves, pressure switches and manometers to control all hydraulic functíons.

BORING BAR HOLDER, of robust design, is fixed at the sLide in any posítion and locked on a crosspiece which is solidary with the tails of the saddle. It can lock a bar with a 150
mm. Ø cylindrical connectíon.

ECTRICAL CABINET.
The cabinet, which complies wíth CSA-VDE-CEI and IEC
specification accommodates the numerical control, the power circuits and the programmable statíc interface.
The cabínet is free standing, perfectly sealed with forced filtered ventilation.
The reliability of the electronic equipment is guaranteed by the qualíty of the components and by rigorous tests.
