Slovenia based Litostroj group is active in iron casting, machining of
large and complex parts as well as machine tool buíldíng. Litostroj plays
an important role ín the heavy industry, in the energy sector, machine
tools, and automotive.
In 2008 Potísje Ada (Serbía), was integrated in Litostroj group under the name of Litostroj Potisje. This step improved the market position of the
group in the machine tool índustry

FOUNDRY OF GRAY AND DUCTILE CAST 1RON
Productíon methods
Mechanized moulding - Primarily used for serial production of sma11
dimension castings. Moduls are made with a synthetic sand mix, while
cores aгe made by the CO2 process.
Hand moulding - This method is used for single-piece production of
large dimension castings. Moulds are made with a furan resin -sand mix.
Cast materíals - Gray cast iron: GG-15, GG-20, GG-25, GG-30, GG

The Fundamentals for High Performance and Accuracy
1. Solíd and rigid machine beds, made of cast iron, having a width of 650, 710 гep.
1120 mm.
2. Extra wide slideways (hardened at 50 HRC) ensure low suriace pressure and
long term guiding accuracy.
З. The headstock is a rigíd construction with the main spindle spaced by three high quality
bearings. The design ensures high precision and smoothness of runníng. All rotary
components of the headstock are heat treated.
PD 2000/6000 with a face plate of 1600 mm diameter, working on a workpiece of 10 to weight.

Litostroj Potisje has a long tradition of 88 years in the development and production of lathes.
Since the beginnings in 1921, Litostroj Potisje has developed a large variety of lathes and special purpuse machines.
The accumulated experience in the productíon of lathes, 6-spindle automatic lathes, CNC turning machines and flexible machining cells was transformed to today's production. The actual product range includes manuallathes and CNC lathes with teach-in controls for the machining of workpieces up to 20 tons weight.
Former cooperation with other lathe producers, e.g. MORANDO (1962) and GILDEMEISTER (1970) íntroduced a new qualíty, enriched the company's experience and strengthened it's market position.
Litostroj Potisje machines have top quality and offer the highest accuracy and performance.
Today we keep a close cooperation with our customers to ensure a continuous improvement of our products and their efficiency. Motivation of our employees is generated from the satisfaction of customers.
Litostroj Potisje is operationg it's own foundry of gray and nodular iron, with a capacity of 6000 to per year. The casting
tradition dates back to Christmas 1924 when the production was started in the workshops of Kovacs and Terteli, using a cupola furnace with an inner diameter of 600 mm, designed by engineer Jung from szeged, Hungary.
The current production plant was set up in 1978 according to a project of MAVEREX 1td, U.K.
The foundry is specialised in the production of gray iron castings with a weight of 0,5kg -18.000 (30.000kg) and nodular iron castings up to 16.000kg.

PA machines are intended for the machining of workpieces of large dimensions and 1ow weight. The basic concept was derived from the experience of the cooperation between Potisje and MORANDO.
Standard machines have conventional electrics and are rather easy to operate.
More than 1000 PA lathes are fulfilling their job throughout the world.

The PD product line - PD 1300 - PD 1600 - PD 2000
PD machines are designated for heavy duty operations. The solid and stiff design of PD machines allows the machining of large dimension and heavy weight workpieces.
PD machines have been designed according to ergonomíc principles to increase the productivity of machine operation.
The wide bed (710 and 1120 mm) assures smooth running of the machine and supporłs high accuracies.
