Large volume in a compact structure
OPTIMO 2535, offering a work volume of 8 m3, and OPTIMO 2545, exceding 10 m3, redefine the limits of laser machining by their size alone. The flying optics and the cartesian gantry architecture, ideal for the fast and precise machining of large three dimensional pieces, have been kept. But the structure has been completely redesigned. A single monolith contains all the essential components main structure, laser, CNC and optics, together with the electro mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Fig. A and B. This robust and compact structure increases the work volume while drastically reduces the machine footprint Fig. D. Transportation and installation become easier, and, if necessary, resiting is quick and economical. In fact, OPTIMO has the considerable advantage of not requiring structural foundations. Safety doesn't set limits on compact dimensions and accessibility. The safety cabin combines total safety with accessibility and an optimal ratio of work volume to overall dimensions Fig. C. In addition, the cabin is perfectly integrated with the structure to facilitate effective and rapid fume extraction. The upper deck the roof of the cabin is of great help to the maintenance operations of the system.
Faster, towards a wider range of applications
The dynamics of the machine have been significantly increased. The linear axes reach 50 m min, with a maximum combined speed of 85 m min. Acceleration is 4 m sec. With this performance, the 30 laser tool may now enter new industrial manufacturing processes.
Which head do you want to use today?
New quick mounting inter change able heads make it possible to switch from one application to another. With the right tool, OPTIMO cuts, welds and treats surfaces of the most complex and critical pieces Fig. H.

OPTIMO is now equipped with the PRIMACH 9000L, the latest, fastest and most powerful generation of numerical controls from PRIMA ELECTRONICS. The control, with Windows NT environment, flat colour screen and touch screen operation, manages and perfectly integrates all the technological parameters, enabling the exploitation of the machine potential to the full extent. Programming at your fingertips. The entire program can begenerated by self teaching, using the simple, intuitive and ergonomic handbox Fig. 1. This handbox can be used to activate powerful programming functions which automatically perform operations that previously. Relied on the skill of the Operator. Approximations and subjective decisions are thus reduced to a minimum. Obviously, OPTIMO can also be programmed completely off line from the geometry of the part in IGES or VDA format, using the exclusive FORMA CAD CAM system Fig. G, or directly from CATIA sources. The right laser and plenty of options to fit any application. The laser generator, which is integrated with the structure, can be chosen from powers ranging from 1,500 W to 6,000 W in order to meet any manufacturing requirement. OPTIMO can be equipped with fixed tables, automatic loading unloading systems and many other options which benefit from the experience in a vast range of applications.
