ROUNDO 12 AXES PC BASED CNC SYSTEM
All ROUNDO fully hydraulic Plate and Section Bending Machines can be epuipped the ROUNDO CNC system

This system, which is developed especially for ROUNDO bending machines, can control up to 12 axes. Optionally, two of these axes can be positioned simultaneously, providing an interpoiation function for smooth transitions when rolling complex shapes with multiple radio. The ROUNDO CNC system controls speed, ramps and pressures for highest precision and can also control roll parallelism and tilting. The accuracy of the system makes it possible to produce the most complex products, such as ellipses, bucket shells, ares with several radio and other objects that can be produced manually only with great difficulty. The ROUNDO CNC system can, besides controlling the bending rolls, also control the guide rolls, pushing and pulling roll unit etc. for the Section bending machines and support rolls, lifting devices etc. for the Plate bending machines as well as external functions such as material infeed, ejection etc. enabling a fully automatic production process. The features of the control system makes it easy to adapt to our customers' different demands and special bending applications. The ROUNDO CNC system is operated via an industrial PC terminal, including keyboard and colour monitor, placed at the machine's control unit. The machines are easy to operate and do not demand any previous CNC experience. The positions of the axes and other important information is presented comprehensibly and clearly on the large screen, which is easy to read even at distance. The terminal in combination with the practical stepless joystick controls, give the operator the best possibilities to operate the machine both manually and in CNC mode. The ROUNDO CNC system runs under Microsoft
WindowsTM and the PC communicates with the RMCU
Roundo Master Control Unit through a CAN field bus system. This enables high speed transfer rates and reliability between the PC and the RMCU, which controls all axes, inputs and outputs of the machine. All CNC bending programs as well as machine dependent constants and language support are stored in databases on the hard disk. Therefore there are practically no total limits of programs or steps inside a program. Possibilities to print all programs etc. by any WindowsTM compatible printer and the CNC program can run on any WindowsTM based PC as a stand alone program without the machine. This makes it possible to connect the machine to a network for back up purposes etc. The machine can run a program at the same time as the data base is in use with another PC, i.e. true onIine programming.
