This machine is designed for all kinds of turning operations including turning of cones and thread cutting metric, Whitworth, module and diametral pitches. Powerful drive and high rigidity along with a wide range of spindle speeds and feeds provide opportunities for use of advanced tools. 

Bed Solid, single piece box shaped casting with three integral floor supports for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting. 23 inch wide bedways are hardened and ground for durability. Carriage travels on two prismatic ways for maximum accuracy with separate guideways for the tailstock. Coolant tank and pump are conveniently housed inside the base of the tailstock. Headstock All gears are high quality chromium steel, hardened and precision ground for long life and smooth, quiet operation. The three bearing point spindle design incorporates large double row precision adjustable roller bearings ensuring long term accuracy and vibration free operation. All gears and bearings are automatically centrally lubricated for low maintenance, trouble free operation. A wide range of conveniently selected feeds and speeds allows for a variety of machining applications using the latest cutting technologies. Spindle braking by an electromagnetic clutch ensures rapid, smooth braking of spindle rotation. To enhance operation speed, the spindle is engaged and reversed by a friction clutch from handles on the headstock and carriage. Carriage The underside of the carriage ways is Teflon coated to reduce friction and wear, ensuring ease of operation and long term accuracy. Power feeds are provided for the carriage, cross slide, and compound. The compound power feed allows efficient production of internal and external conical surfaces from degree angles. Push button rapid traverse for all three axes allows speedy setups, increasing productivity. Solid four position tool post with easy, positive indexing for quick and efficient operation. Tapers can be cut through built in taper turning capabilities and optional taper turning attachment.
