Saf ASSERIE profile bending rolls : A Reliable Construction System

The AS machines have an upper roll fixed in position in the AS Series, while the two lower rolls can be adjusted to determine the bending radius. 
These machines are suitable for every kind of work, especially for steel structural works, by bending flats, L, T, U bars, and round tubes due to their easy and precise adjustments and a very strong construction system.

The narrow centers and the roll adjustment in the structure of these machines allow minimum waste of straight material at the end of the workpieces. Additionally, these machines are recommended when very long bars have to be bent, as the material is guided between the left lower roll and the upper roll without moving when the right lower roll is adjusted to reach the requested bending radius.

The construction system used for this series allows the machines to be equipped with various accessories such as a device to turn the tube at 360, hydraulic lateral straighteners to make spirals with variable pitch, a device to straighten the material used from coils, and a numerical control device for the predetermination of the bending radius to carry out several radii on the same bar and work in an automatic cycle.

A SOLUTION FOR EVERY NEED

The AS 40 has three driving rolls with a smooth surface. The two lower rolls can be hydraulically adjusted (version H1 or H2) or mechanically adjusted (ST version) by handscrew. The ST version is normally produced without a machine bench which can be supplied on demand at an extra cost, and with the operating buttons placed on the machine frame. The H1 and H2 versions are supplied complete with the machine bench and all control elements centralized in one console separate from the machine.

REMARK: Max dimensions and min radii are referred to steel R=45 Kg/mm2. The radii for min. sizes can be reduced by using special rolls and straighteners.

BENDING ROLLS

The rolls mounted on the driving shafts are very important for the quality of the bending. Together with the bending machine, SAF supplies one complete set of adjustable universal rolls with which it is possible to bend most of the steel profiles normally used in steel construction. However, special rolls are required for special profiles, pipes, and thin tubulars in steel, aluminum, copper, etc.

Since many years now SAF CURVATRICI has been manufacturing and testing the rolls for clients' profiles with scrupulous care and competence. In a very short time, the rolls and the bent samples are delivered to the client.

AVAILABLE VERSIONS

The size of the machine can be chosen by checking the performances indicated on the relevant table. The version will be chosen according to the following available versions: SAF SUPPLIES VERSIONS HD 9, HD 1/2, CNC, L, ST, H1, H2.

The HD 9 and HD 1/2 versions have a digital readout with an LCD display which can store nine memory programs and display the bending roll's right lower roll position, while the left lower roll is mechanically adjusted.
