Sahinler FM 12 Flanging machine

Sahinler FM 12 flanging machine

The flanging machine is designed for the execution of the edges of tank bottoms. It consists of an electro-welded frame, which is thermally stress relieved, ensuring high sturdiness and stability during flanging. The motorized lower bottom-holder carriage runs on slides and translates by means of a worm screw. The slides are fixed on the base frame. The hydraulic cylinder allows for bottom height adjustment and is fixed on the bottom-holder carriage. The standard machine can flange bottoms with center-holes, and on request, it can also supply machines for bottoms without center-holes.

The shaping roll is built in high-resistance steel and induction hardened, and it is properly shaped according to the radius of the edge to be obtained. This roll is motorized by means of a radial pistons motor and equipped for variable rotation speed. The flanging roll, built in high-resistance steel and induction-hardened, pushes the bottom plate against the shaping roll by means of a system of hydraulic cylinders.

The bottom-supporting rolls are a group of two rolls, which are able to support the bottom edge during flanging operation. This group is positioned underneath the shaped roll and is adjustable in height by means of a hydraulic cylinder.

The hydraulic system consists of a motor pump group and an oil tank equipped with all the components for the correct machine operating and safety, such as a filter, level gauges, thermostat, heat exchanger, control valves, and solenoid valves. The electric system consists of a control panel with buttons for manual and automatic control, an emergency warning light, a motion lever, and protection components. The machine has been designed to be sturdy and reliable, and it is suitable for industrial applications.
