Sasta CA 983  This is a pipe-threading lathe suitable for long pipes up to 340mm in diameter used for oil and gas production and transportation. It can handle all types of turning works and cut metric and inch threads. The machine has a hydraulic mechanism for automation of thread-cutting and is assembled on a cast iron bed with two mechanized 4-jaws chucks. It has a spindle bore diameter of 340mm, a maximum workpiece diameter of 830/450mm, and can process workpieces up to 1000mm in length. The machine has a main motor power of 15kW and weighs up to 11500kg. Standard equipment includes a 4-position tool holder, a flap on the carriage with inspection glass, and coolant tank.
