SEDIN SCHIESS is a German machine tool company specializing in vertical turning machines. Founded in 1988 as a joint venture between the traditional German machine tool company SCHIESS AG and Russian machine tool company SEDIN, it has since focused on manufacturing, sales, and development of vertical turning centre type SCHIESS VERTIMASTER. The company owns Sedin GmbH, its German daughter company, and in 2005, it founded a Chinese joint venture, DALIAN WAJI SEDIN SCHIESS, with Dalian Machine Tools and Qiqihar to produce the VERTIMASTER for the Asian market. SEDIN SCHIESS has a close cooperation with SCHIESS MOWEG, Monchengladbach, and SCHIESS BRIGHTON, Dusseldorf, a German Chinese joint venture for heavy duty machine tools. The company is known for its experience from tradition and technique of the latest state of art for vertical turning centres to produce work pieces of the highest precision in one set up.
