Sedin SCHIESS General Description VERTIMASTER of metalworking machines  is shown in the principle drawing. The solid and strong table base is mounted on the foundation with a geared steady rest for the table and portal. The table bearing is integrated into the base with the main drive, consisting of two digital motors in the master slave mode for turning and electronically preloaded against each other as a backlash free, path controlled C axis in the milling mode. The machine portal with a vibration damping design of cast iron construction provides optimum dumping properties. The portal is guided on each side of the table base as CNC axis Y. The cross rail, also of tensional cast iron design, is guided and clamped on each column and elevated by two synchronized CNC axis. The hydrostatic guided Ram traverses in the vertical direction with integrated 3 steps boring and milling attachment and hydraulic clamping system for pick up the heads. The tool and attachment changer can be mounted on the cross rail as disk magazines or chain magazines, according to customer demand. There are integrated chip conveyors on both sides of the table and one conveyor in front. The electrical equipment is the CNC control system SINUMERIK 840 D with all necessary functions.
