Boring Attachment Basic Characteristics: The boring and recessing attachment IWD 125A is used for axial movement of the boring spindle of the machine. It is a special accessory used for boring round holes, machining identical with out-travel of the ram of the attachment, facing outside cylindrical and face surfaces, and similar technological operations. The pallet PA, which is supplied with the attachment, facilitates the handling of the machine. A radial out-travel of the attachment on the machine or outside the machine when being clamped, dismounted, or stored is derived from out-travel of the boring spindle of the machine to which the attachment is joined.

The attachment is clamped through a carrier, and the size of the carrier is determined by the size of the clamping taper in the spindle of the machine. A set of adapters allows the attachment to be used on numerically controlled milling and boring machines ŠKODA of type W 150 NC, W 180 NC, and W 225 NC. The size of the adapter is given by the type of the machine.

The face of the slide is provided with a prismatic guide for clamping a tool holder from a set of tool holders. The tool holders are steplessly displaceable in the whole range of the guide and are fixed in the required position by bolts.
