Technological accessories Boring attachment The boring attachment IWD 200 A has the basic characteristic of boring and recessing the milling spindle of the machine. The pallet PA, which is supplied as an attachment, is a special accessory for this boring round holes, machining identical with out-travel of the ram of attachment. It facilitates handling of the outside cylindrical and face surfaces, facing, and similar technological operations. The radial out-travel of attachment on the machine or outside the machine when being clamped, dismounted, or stored is derived from out-travel of the boring spindle of the machine to which the attachment is joined.

The attachment is clamped through a carrier, and the size of the carrier is determined by the size of the clamping taper in the spindle of the machine. The attachment is automatically clamped to the ram face of the machine by clamping pins. A set of the clamping adapters allows the use of the attachment on numerically controlled milling and boring machines of type W 150 NC, W 180 NC, and JJ 225 ïJC. The size of the adapter is given by the type of the machine.

A working rotary movement of the attachment is derived from the rotation of the boring spindle of the machine. The face of the slide is provided with a prismatic guide for clamping a tool holder from a set of tool holders. The tool holders are steplessly displaceable in the whole range of the guide and are fixed in the required position by bolts.
