Technological Accessories Boring Attachment

The Boring Attachment IWD 320 A has the basic characteristic of boring and recessing the milling spindle of the machine. The pallet PA, supplied as an attachment, is used for axial movement of the attachment. This special accessory is applied for boring round holes, machining identical with outside cylindrical and face surfaces, facing, and similar technological operations. The radial out-travel of the attachment is derived from the out-travel of the boring spindle of the machine to which the attachment is joined. The pallet PA facilitates the handling of the machine, making it easy to clamp, dismount, or store.

The attachment is clamped through a carrier, which automatically clamps to the ram face of the machine by clamping pins. A set of clamping adapters allows the attachment to be used on numerically controlled milling and boring machines ŠKODA of type W 150 NC, W 180 NC, and W 225 NC. The size of the adapter is given by the type of the machine.

The face of the slide is provided with a prismatic guide for clamping a tool holder from a set of tool holders. The tool holders are steplessly displaceable in the whole range of the guide and are fixed in the required position by bolts. The size of the carrier is determined by the size of the clamping taper in the spindle of the machine.

Special Accessories The exchange equipment 1SQ N-X, which is supplied as a special accessory of the machine, is designed for transport of the pallet PA loaded with the boring attachment between the lay-down place and the working zone of the machine.
