Skoda SR Universal centre lathes 1

ŠKODA MACHINE TOOL produces Universal Centre Lathes in the ŠKODA SR series. The company has been manufacturing machine tools since 1911, and its products have been present in the global market since the 1920s. The lathes in the ŠKODA SR series are modern machines designed to manufacture axial workpieces efficiently and precisely. The lathe bed, which includes four or five guideways, is fitted onto a concrete foundation block using anchoring bolts. The guideways for the tailstock and steadies are lined with hardened bars. The headstock body is made of grey-iron casting with the spindle mounted in roller bearings or a combination of radial hydrostatic and axial roller bearings. The machine control system can be SINUMERIK 840D or FANUC, and the control panel is located on the carriage platform. The lathes can perform a wide range of machining operations, including grinding, turning, milling, and cutting threads. The workstations meet EU CE and similar regulations applicable in non-European territories UL, CSA, and others. The ŠKODA SR lathes are also suitable for machining heavy forged crankshafts for four-stroke naval Diesel engines and built-up crankshafts for two-stroke naval Diesel engines. The lathe series is available in five models: SR1, SR2, SR3, SR4, and SR5, with swing over bed ranging from 1250mm to 5200mm.
