Sony U  measuring tools Digital indicator

The following is a product preview of the Sony Catalog for the U Series Digital Indicator. The U12A/U30A and U60A models offer high accuracy, easy operation, and a broad measuring range to choose from. The memory function enables the user to measure the max, min, and peak-to-peak values by probing the measurement surface just once. It is connectable to a personal computer through the built-in RS-232C interface and operable from the optional battery pack. The spindle contains a damper mechanism to protect measured objects from damage. It comes in three different measuring lengths to cover a range of up to 60mm. The product specifications include a data input/output connector for the optional DZ250 cable/connector and a standard RS-232C baud rate of 2400bps. Data processing can be done by connecting the U Series to the P30 Digital printer or commercially available PC or other processors. In addition, data can be loaded directly into commercially available spreadsheet software, Lotus 1-2-3, using separately sold data loading software. Data processors such as PCs are not provided by Sony. The U Series comes with a lift lever and mode selector button used to switch between standard mode and memory mode. The memory mode is used when measuring the max, min, and peak-to-peak value. The measuring unit memory call button is used to switch the memory mode. The measuring range is 12mm, 30mm, or 60mm, with a resolution of mm or mm, depending on the model. The product includes various statistical parameters such as the number of data inputs, max/min values, range, average, standard deviation, process capability index, and number of rejects/ejects. The product is equipped with an LED display and printout for indications, and the printing method is thermo-sensitive, serial-dot. The processing capacity is 1000 data, and the product includes a standard accessory kit.
