Development in mechanical engineering for commercial machining accessories and consumables has led to advancements in flat honing, lapping, and polishing processes. Lapping can be done with a vehicle and polishing can be done with a diamond or loose abrasive impregnated pad. Materials used include SìC, A1203, B4C, and natural or synthetic diamond.

In flat honing, super abrasive wheels made of diamond/CBN are used. The DLM series has been developed to meet new customer demands and incorporates modern mechanical engineering technology with the latest control and measuring technology and automation.
