Tacchi MT 150 Lathe

The following is a technical description of the Tacchi MT 150 lathe manufactured by Meccanica Tacchi in Lonate Pozzolo. The lathe has a spindle made of Cr-Ni steel with an American Standard LOO connection, D1-4 Cam Lock upon request, and a hole of 35 mm. The bed is subjected to stabilization treatment, has induction-hardened and tangential ground guideways, and a Brinell hardness number of 450. The headstock is equipped with gears for selecting spindle speeds made of high-quality Cr-Ni steel that are hardened and ground on the involute. The splined shafts are mounted on precision ball-bearings and ground on the UN1 profiles. The headstock also has a double mechanical clutch. The Norton Box contains Cr-Ni steel gears that are hardened, and the splined shafts are mounted on high-quality ball-bearings. Easy selection of metric pitches, Whitworth, and module pitches is possible without changing the standard gears. The main slide has induction-hardened guideways, while the apron has gears made of Cr-Ni steel that are also induction-hardened. It also features an automatic stop of longitudinal and traverse feeds. The MT 150 lathe has a center height of 150 mm, a center distance of 800 mm, a swing over the cross-slide of 160 mm, a swing over the bed of 300 mm, a swing in gap of 380 mm, and a gap width of 180 mm. The diameter of the 4-jaw independent chuck is 260/4 mm, and the maximum diameter on the fixed rest is 60 mm. The motor power is 2 HP, and the leadscrew diameter is 28 mm, with a pitch of 4. The bed width is 215 mm, and the length of the cross-slide guides on the bed is 380 mm. The cross-slide travel is 160 mm, and the travel of the tool-slide is not specified. The lathe is easy to handle, modern, and manufactured by highly qualified professionals. It is guaranteed by the long experience of machine-tool manufacturers and carefully tested according to Prof. Schlesinger standards.
