Tacchi MT 700 Lathe

Tacchi MT 700 Lathe  ELECTRICAL CONTROLS AT LOW VOLTAGE

Induction hardened slideways of bed, main slide and compound rest.

SPINDLE - 36 speeds in geometrical progression transmitted by a helical gear. Min. = 3.5; Max. = 475. Made of Cr-Ni forged iron, with widely sized D1-15 Gam Lock connection and hole of 150mm. Hardened, case-hardened, and ground on all its length. Turns on four special bearings of high precision: a front bearing at a double crown of rollers and with taper hole, a rear bearing at a simple crown and with cylindrical hole, and two axial ball bearings mounted in an intermediate position.

BED - Monolithic founding in pearlitic cast iron subject to stabilization treatment for stress relieving. Guideways with wide surface, induction hardened and tangential ground. Hardness: approx. 450/480 Brinell.

ADSTOCK - The gears for the selection of spindle speeds are made of high-quality Cr-Ni steel, hardened and ground on the involute. The splined shafts are ground on the UN1 profiles and are mounted on precision ball bearings. The headstock has a double electromagnetic clutch and a 16:1 protractor.

NORTON BOX - Cr-Ni steel gears - hardened. Splined shafts mounted on high-quality ball bearings. Easy selection of metric pitches, Whitworth, module pitches, and diametral pitch without changing the standard gears.

APRON - Induction-hardened gearwheels of the wheelwork made of Cr-Ni steel. Feeds and relating reverses operated by electromagnetic clutches.

MAIN SLIDE - Wide guideways covered with excellent antifriction material TORCITE. Excellent stress stability. Take-up of slack through taper gibs.

COMPOUND REST - Induction-hardened guideways.
