Thoman RB 3 L bending machine

Thoman RB 3 L bending machine

Technology makes a difference. The RB3-L is a compact and flexible machine used for rolling aluminum or steel sections. The machine's center distance and modular tool system can be optimized to meet the requirements of the section being rolled. The RB3-L can adjust its axes to a minimum distance of 330mm for processing lightweight sections and up to 600mm for heavier sections. Despite its small size, the RB3-L has a strong design and can bend up to 5.5 kW of steel sections with a section modulus of up to 20 cm3.

The RB-L and Wende-Mat are used for curving accurate handrails in both stair manufacture and metalworking for newelled and spiral stairs. The RB3-L offers maximum flexibility and performance due to its compact dimensions. The machine and control terminal are mobile and movable, and operation can be carried out by means of a manual control unit with a magnetic holding unit from a distance of 6m.

The RB3-L has an advanced and powerful control and drive concept, and a fourth roller or guiding block can be used. It has a modular tool system, and shafts are supportable. It also has a high roll bending performance. There are options for an automatic radius measuring system, a manually or hydraulically adjustable fourth roller, a mobile control panel with NC control, and supports for the shafts.

The RB3-L has a pressure force of 12 tonnes and a stepless speed of 0-16 rev/min. The machine has a torque rated torque of 3x920Nm or 3x960Nm for continuous operation, a driving power of 5.5kW, a shaft diameter of 65mm, a shaft length of 160mm, a stroke X-axis of 200mm, and adjustable front rollers of 330-600mm. The RB3-L weighs approximately 750kg, and the R83-L has a distance of 600mm between centers.
