The Machine VSTR 95 is a Completely New Concept in Flow Forming Machines

In conventional flow forming machines the tooling is mounted horizontally onto the headstock spindle and the flow forming support with the rollers moves in a horizontal direction across the tooling In the VSTR 95 the tooling is mounted stationary into a vertical position Via a CNC-controlled hydraulic cylinder the tooling is moved vertically through the rotating flow forming head with three flow forming rollers

VSTR 95 Offers the Following Advantages

Short cycle time Tooling does not rotate and the loading-unloading device can pick up the part immediately at the end of the cycle without having to wait for the spindle to stop
No headstock bearings where the axial load is applied
Optimal surface quality for finished parts due to the higher rotational speed of the flow forming rollers
Due to the vertical design of the machine the tooling is in a stable position supported by its own weight
