Production of forming machines has had a more than half-of-century long tradition in the joint stock company ŽĎAS. From the basic simple types produced accordíng to foreign documentatíon at the beginning, this branch has been extended into several specialized groups as soon as the own development platform established. Therefore, ŽĎAS Compaпy is able to meet a11 the common as we11 as above-standard requirements of its customers and partners now. Today, by virtue of the design team experience as we11 as the modern production plants, design and production of special machines can be offered in addition to the unifíed series of the individual types of forming machínes. Particularly, it concerns the equipment for mass production of parts for automotive or consumer industry, of course including the appropriate me- chanisation, tooling equipment and the whole supporting system of service and maintenance. ŽĎAS thus ranks among a few of the world producers who are able to fit the equipment exactly according to the custo- mer s needs. Besides the great number of machínes supplíed within the indivídual production series, tens of production
lines and machines have been designed and supplíed accordíng to the special r equirements of the customers. Forming machines of ŽĎAS, are basically divided depending on the driving system, to the mechanical and hydraulic presses. At the same tíme, utilization of the machines both for the volume sheet forming and for the volume solid forming ís being regarded. The same attention is given to both types of machines within the independent specialized teams of engineers. Since certain pressings can be produced both on a hydraulic as we11 as on a mechanical machine, the team of technology specialists of ŽĎAS always strive for finding the optimal and multí-purpose equipment for each specific pressing or semi-product.

Automatic transfer presses are designed for production of parts in large series, especially for consumer, electrical and automobile industries. Car wheel dísks for a number of world car factories are being produced in
the forming line with TP 2500 transfer press and LKJP single-point crank press in Hayes Lammerz Autokola, Ostrava. During a de manding audit ŹĎAS obtained 93 points from 100 possible ones and was included
in the A group of suppliers.

The unit consìsts of the LVE 400 electric friction press, 2 robots for material handling and 6 upsetting machines for valve head preparation. The capacity of the unit is up to  pieces per minute, the shank diameter is from
to mm and the head diameter 10 65 mm.

Pressings
Two lines, each one with TP 400/5/700 automatíc transfer press including the inlet mechanization ensuring smooth materìal feeding lnput material are sheet metal pieces. The line is designed for production of the main parts of kitchen ranges. Production is up to 20 strokes per minute.

of Steel Bottles
Unit for pressure bottles production consists of cutpieces semiproducts heating device, descaler, a 18 MN hydraulic punching press, MN drawing press and a manipulator. Pressure bottles of various dimensions
are being produced in the line. Most of the bottles produced are of 229 mm diameter and and wall thickness by peak output of 60 pressings per hour.
