We have commítted to meetíng customers specífìc requírements. Our approach of designíng functíon modules such that they can be varíably arranged relatíve to each other permíts excellent matchíng to machiníng jobs and component sízes. Thís advantage ís particularly relevant ín the productíon of bulky components which, often, requíre only partial surface machining. Also, conventíonal manual operator control is more economic in such applications. Arranging one or several carríages, the taílstock, steady rests or roller steadies on a foundatíon plate area in front of the faceplate whích ís designed to rotate about its horízontal axis, has proved to be the true approach ín a thousand applícatíons. Thus, DP lathes are capable of doíng more than just facíng jobs.
