GTH 802; The welding rectifier (thyristor-controlled) with constant voltage characteristics up to 800A is especially suited for submerged-arc welding. Mechanised, semi-automated and automated welding processes in combination with the pre-adjustment of nominal values on the welding automats of the KA series (also with optional interface for external control) are available for the toughest use in tank facility and boiler construction, bridge construction, shipbuilding and industrial mounting. All Kjellberg power sources are charcterised by a reliable ignition behaviour and a stable arc. Big analogue displays make it easier to monitor the entire welding process.

The mobile and self-driven Kjellberg automat KA 1-UP can be used for single wire welding of plane sheets and inner tubes. The submerged-arc welding automat is available in three versions: for a maximum wire diameter of 3 mm respectively 5 mm. Pipe inside welding is possible with a diamter of 1500 mm or more. The KA 1-UP automats can be easily and flexibly adapted to any welding task. Nominal values for welding current, arc voltage and welding speed can be pre-selected in coordination with the power source. The integrated automatic ignition and automatic burn-free fiunctions guarantee an optimum welding process. Start-up phase and end crater filling phase are separately adjustable. Equipped with laser pointers and infinitely configurable distance rolls for profiles, webs and flanges, the KA 1-UP automats offer professional conditions for precise seam tracking and a high degree of automation. The encoder-driven carriage with all-wheel drive can be operated with three different track widths. Track wheels are an optionally available extra for all carriages. They guarantee a constant distance to the workpiece.
