This is how a 5-axis CNC machine works
CNC milling machines that are continuous 5-axis can move all five axes simultaneously during operations. The cutting tools move along three linear and two rotary axes. With such a CNC milling machine it's possible to move the machine over three linear axes, while the machine bed or milling head is rotating. This allows you to create complex geometric shapes.
